Warranty and FAQs

Tabulae Eyewear products come with a 90-day warranty from the purchase date, against any manufacturer defects. All of our products meet the highest quality standard and are thoroughly inspected prior to shipment. Unfortunately, this warranty does not cover non-manufacturer (wear and tear, breakage etc.) apply. For warranty eligibility, Tabulae Eyewear reserves the right to determine manufacturing defects and requires proof of purchase to assess eligibility.



Items can be replaced within 30 days of your order. A one time only exchange policy is available for any dissatisfied items or manufacturer defects. If an exchange in necessary, you must provide the original purchase receipt along with a note, which includes the name and color of the new item.



Once your return is received, it will then be inspected then you will receive a notification of your approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be credited through your original method of payment. It will take about a few business days for it to show up on your account.

2) All original materials and packaging

3) Your choice of return or exchange

4) A note with the reason for your return or exchange


When sending back any item please make sure to package in a box that will protect it from any damages. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning or exchanging your item. Shipping time may vary depending on where you live. We suggest when sending an item please consider using a trackable shipping service such as UPS or Fed Ex or purchasing a shipping insurance. Tabulae Eyewear is not responsible for items being damaged or lost during shipment for returns or exchanges.


Do you have a storefront where I can get a pair?

Currently, we do not have a storefront but we do indoor vending at Artists and Fleas in Williamsburg Brooklyn (70 N7th Brooklyn Williamsburg, NY 11249) on Saturday and Sunday and other flea markets within NYC. Please check our website or facebook to see locations and any other additional updates.


Can we purchase at your main headquarters?

Unfortunately, we do not have a store there to make purchases. Please check our online store or one of our indoor vending locations.

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept all types of payment which includes Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and PayPal for online orders.

Are custom frame orders available?

Sorry, unfortunately not. Due to the process of making a pair of sunglasses, it requires a certain sizing, frame color and lens option. Selection of what is available is on our shop page online.


What type of material are your sunglasses made from?

Our sunglasses are made from acetate. A material that is stronger than plastic and more comfortable on one's face.

Is your sunglasses real wood?

No it's not real wood its make out of acetate and given a wood type appearance and texture.

What is the difference with your frame vs a wooden frame?

Our frame is lighter, easily adjustable and much more comfortable on your face whereas a wooden frame cannot be adjusted, not as light and easily damage due to weather changes.

What color lenses do you offer for your frames?

We offer two colors only: for now, both Grey and Brown.

Is your sunglasses adjustable, if yes how can I adjust it?

Yes, it can be adjusted. Very easy, you can take any of our frame to your local eyeglass clinic/shop. Our frames are made from acetate so it can easily be adjusted at any local optical shop.

Can prescription go into your frames?

Yes definitely. All our frames are made from acetate so depending on your prescription most can fit easily. Check with your local optician about thickness when inserting into frames.


Do you offer prescription lenses with your frames?

Unfortunately not but when a frame is purchased you can take it to any local optical shops to have prescription lenses inserted.


What are your lenses made from and does it have polarized and UV protection?

Our lenses come from several labs in NYC and are made from plastic (CR-39). We carry lenses that are both polarized with backside anti-glare protection and 100% UVA and UVB treatment.


What are Polarized Lenses?

Polarized Lenses reduce glare and increase contrast sensitivity. Glare can distort objects true color and makes it hard to distinguish. Polarized lenses reduce glare and reflection from many surfaces such as water, snow, glass and some surface on the road.


Why should I get a pair of Polarized Lenses?

Polarized Lenses are better overall for the eyes. It allows better clarity while giving your eyes protection and reduce reflection. It's good to have a pair on hand for any activity such as driving, skiing, golfing, jogging, biking, being on a boat or beach or any daily outdoor activities.


How do I clean and take care of my sunglasses?

Maintaining Glasses as easy as 1,2,3:

Whenever glasses is not on your face please make sure to keep glasses in the case at all times. This will avoid scratches and frame bending out of position. To clean lenses you can use lukewarm water with soap or use our eyewear spray that comes with every purchase. Use given cleaning cloth only to clean your eyewear and not your clothing which can cause scratches. Remember it is scratch resistance NOT scratch proof.


Can your sunglasses get wet?

It’s ok if sunglasses are wet that will not damage frames but do not soak in water for long period of time.


What shipping do you use?

We ship via USPS with a signed signature from customers. They are fast, reliable and safe to use.


How long will it take for my order to ship?

Orders take 3-5 business days.


Do you ship internationally?

As of now, we do not. We only ship within the USA.


Do you offer expedited shipping?

We offer only within the USA 2-day air shipping.


How much does it cost for shipping?

All shipments are FREE.


Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we offer a full 90 days warranty against any manufacturing defects on all of our sunglasses that includes both frames and lenses.


What should I do if I want to return or exchange my sunglasses?

We only offer a 30 (thirty) days returns or exchanges policy on unused sunglasses from original purchased date. Please include the following when sending back any frames:

1) Send us an email that you are sending back eyewear

2) A copy of your original order receipt

Eyeglass maintenance: Whenever your glasses are not on your face, please make sure to keep them in a case

Whenever your glasses are not on your face, please make sure to keep them in a case at all times. This will avoid scratches and possible damage to the frame. To clean your lenses, use either eyeglass cleaners that can be purchased at your local pharmacy or warm water with soap. Wipe the lenses using the cloth that is provided. DO NOT clean the lenses with clothing or paper towels, as this may result in scratches. Remember, the lenses are scratch resistant not scratch proof.
